ABOUT GOD We believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are yet ONE God.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every reborn Christian from the moment of their salvation. He provides the Christian with the power for living, understanding spiritual truth and guidance for doing God’s will. The Christian seeks to live under the control of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis and this is evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit being manifested in his or her life. (John 1:1,14; 5:18; 10:30, Acts 5:1-6; II Corinthians 3:17)
ABOUT JESUS Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with God the Father (John 14:6). Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin of all mankind by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and will return again to gather all who believe in Him and take them to spend eternity with him.
ABOUT THE BIBLE The Bible is God’s Word to all people. Human authors wrote it, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is without any mixture of error.
ABOUT MANKIND Mankind is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God’s creation and love. Although we have a tremendous potential for good, we are marred by a sinful nature that separates us from God. We are unable to save ourselves and in need of a Savior.
ABOUT SALVATION Salvation is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9) to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by putting our trust in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Christ into our lives by faith.
ABOUT ETERNAL SECURITY Because God gives eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power that gives us security.
ABOUT ETERNITY Mankind was created to exist forever, but because sin entered the world through one man, death spread to all mankind (Romans 5:12) (Romans 6:23). Those who are in covenant relationship with Christ are given the free gift of everlasting life while unbelievers will perish at the final judgment. (John 3:16) (Acts 24:15) (Hebrews 9:27) (Revelation 20:11-15)
